The Sellers View...
We moved into Welby Close in 1997. Having lived in Maidenhead all our lives we had a good insight into all the areas which make up Maidenhead. We had three children of school age at that time and found that being in the catchment area for the primary schools of Wessex and Lowbrook and senior schools of Cox Green and Alwood, with Newlands Girls School and Desborough Boys also not too far away gave us excellent choices for our children’s schooling.
When we first looked at the property we were taken aback by how spacious it was and nicknamed it the “tardis “. A nickname we still fondly use. With a GP surgery a couple of streets away (a 5 minute walk) and a local parade of shops which is currently undergoing a bit of a revamp and now includes a lovely cafe and a Morrisons local about to open Welby Close offered us everything we needed. The local school now even has a gym! We have modernised with love and care our home over our 27+ years of living here and love being in our quiet little cul de sac.
With lovely open parks and a stones throw from Maidenhead Thicket there is always the opportunity to get out and about on lovely walks. We will be sad to leave Welby Close but now all of our children have flown the nest it is too spacious for us. We look forward to our next chapter and know that this house will bring as much happiness to its new occupiers as it has to us. Welby Close will always hold a special place in our hearts and the memories we will take with us
