\r
I absolutely LOVE Bretton, it's one of the best places to live in Flintshire.....and let me tell you why I think that! \r
\r
Although the Retail Park is on your doorstep, unless you have a drone or are flying overhead, you'll never know it's there. Fields to the front and rear of this home, makes you feel as though you are living in the countryside, it feels so rural but with the benefit of shops being so close....\r
\r
So, Broughton Shopping Retail Park less than a 3 minute walk away up a quiet dead end road with no through traffic. Once at the retail park, you have all the supermarkets that you desire, M&S, Tesco, Aldi, there's Primark for the Teenagers, NEXT for the parents as well as Health Shops, Sports Shops, Boots and many more. There's even a pub, loads of decent restaurants with tables and chairs outside, where you can sit and eat Alfresco when the sun is out and just people watch.....and that's just for starters...\r
\r
Just a short drive, or a long walk, and you're in Chester City Centre where you have every conceivable shop, a vast array of pubs, clubs and restaurants....all within a short taxi ride home, depending on how your night goes. \r
\r
From the Cottage driveway, you are less than a three minute drive to the A55, which can take you to Mold in under 10 minutes, with many alternative routes, Deeside Industrial Centre, Wrexham and then further afield to Cheshire Oaks, Liverpool and Manchester, all are within easy reach. So, now you've seen how convenient the area is, let's take a peek inside.\r
\r
A low level brick wall creates a boundary from Bretton Lane, with a shallow long shingle driveway that stretches all the way down the length of the home. It continues through a set of plush wooden gates, and even further into the rear garden area where there's a monstrous garage that offers many uses other than parking cars, which I'll come to later,\r
\r
At the front of the home is the front door with full length glass panels either side, to help bring plenty of light into the porch. This is a great place for a shoe rack and hooks for coats and umbrellas. A beautiful stripped wooden doors opens to reveal and generous sized hallway.\r
\r
The quality large modern glossy tiles compliment the traditional wood, while they lead you through to the ground floor accommodation. A trendy new old schools style radiator adorns the wall which is pleasing on the eye and also offers warmth when required. A traditional staircase rises to the first floor, a door at the bottom of the stairs on the right, opens into the first reception room.\r
\r
Opening the beautiful wooden door takes us almost back in time, something of a contrast to the rest of the home. A tiled, almost brick block effect floor makes for easy cleaning and blends in really well. There's a large bay window with a handcrafted seating area, built-in shelves with storage cupboards beneath creates a gorgeous feature, filling out the gaps either side of the original cast iron working fireplace. Decorative coving hugs the ceiling, and a traditional ceiling rose, placed with the right chandelier, will light this room up like a palace.\r
\r
As we walk past the stairs and to the rear of the corridor, we come to the downstairs cloakroom, come shower room, and what a room this is. \r
\r
With its modern stylish tiles, a slim old school effect grey radiator running up one wall, a beautiful vanity wash hand basin with chrome mixer tap, there's a fresh 'chic' toilet and then a fabulous glass panel wall with a rainforest shower head, and even a hand held shower attachment for those hard to reach areas. It's like you've just walked into a five star hotel suite.\r
\r
Back to the hall and the first door you come to on the left opens into, what this home is all about! This is the part of the home that everyone will be talking about. As they walk in, just watch their jaws hit the floor!\r
\r
The large lavish glossy tiles from the hallway continue though into this room and the rooms here after. Now, this first part of the room, it still has no name in my head, and clearly that's for you to decide, houses a large 9KW multi-fuel burner, heats the whole house so I'm told....and looking at it, I don't doubt that!! \r
\r
When the winter comes, you'll want to sit in here with the fire lit in some comfortable arm chair, a drink in hand, and just admire this room. As you look down to the far end, I'll warn you, you may need some binoculars, this room will take your breath away. From here you walk into the kitchen area.\r
\r
Open-plan, as are most 21st Century homes, the glossy quality kitchen storage units run the full length, and let me tell you, that is some length. Fabulous Quartz work surfaces indulge the full length of the kitchen area offering ample storage space below for all of your kitchen equipment. A BOSH five ring gas hob sits below a large ultra-modern extractor fan while just around the corner are more floor to ceiling storage units and a built in BOSH Oven and Microwave. In front of this is a larger work surface which doubles up as a breakfast bar, with more high gloss storage units on both sides and a NEFF dishwasher. \r
\r
Before I forget, there is so much to see in here, opposite the sink is an opening, which leads to the pantry......if Carlsberg made pantries, they'd probably make them like this. It's fantastic as pantries go! Some very clever man, or woman, built this. Wooden shelves made form scaffolding poles, to create the most stylish, solid handy shelves that can store everything that you couldn't fit into the millions of cupboards you already have in the kitchen!\r
\r
This breakfast bar provides space on one side for very cool bar stools, so that your guests can marvel at your cookery skills, while sipping their homemade cocktails. Three lamps hang down above this area to set the scene for the evening. Double doors let light in and offer a way to one area of the outside. \r
\r
If you stand with your back to the cooker and look over the breakfast bar, the sheer size of the room is awe-inspiring. The vaulted ceiling and sheer size, almost takes you back to medieval times and a banquet hall. If you love entertaining many people, this home was made for you......or if you have a large family, made for you too! With plenty of floor to ceiling window and doors, Velux also, this room is bright, airy and everything you could wish for......breathtaking. If you don't have friends, go on friend finder and hire some, you're going to need them when you buy this house.\r
\r
A large sliding patio door leads us out to the rear.\r
\r
As you expect, everything in the home is large, and the garden is no exception. It comes with numerous outbuildings, so if pottering around is a hobby of yours, then you're going to love this.\r
\r
A large double length garage offers so much scope to be developed into something more than what it was originally built for. What springs to mind for me would be an annex** for a youngster, one that wants to leave home but doesn't have the cash, as most won't, so that Mum and Dad can still keep an eye on them, whilst giving some independence. \r
\r
** you will probably need to contact the local council to see if this will be allowed before you buy or build this.\r
\r
Continuing on you may have an elderly relative, much like the youngster, who you still want to keep an eye on, but wants to retain that freedom. At the far end of this building is a large set of floor to ceiling windows that look out over a pond....if it were me, I'd stick some Bi-Folds on, build a raised decking area out over the water and create a nice feature for whoever stays in this space. Another idea would be for a great holiday let to help bring some extra cash in.\r
\r
In one of the many outbuildings is a handy toilet which is great for when the kids are outside and they've either been playing in mud or swimming in the pond....however, I would strongly would advise against this though!\r
\r
From the pond is an area of grass, which is probably bigger than most peoples gardens, leading us to another section of grass, where you could easily set up a training ground for a Premiere League football team, it's quite large. Trees line one side, and hedges line both sides to create a nice boundary for this space. Leading from this area of grass, we walk through an archway, that's been sculpted into the hedge, taking us further into anther garden. Here lies a shed, that if I'm honest could use some help but is still quite useful.\r
\r
There are Victoria plum trees, damson plum trees, a large cherry tree, apple trees, a walnut tree, medlar tree, a pear tree....who knows maybe even a Partridge in one.\r
\r
Further along the garden, towards the rear, is a large polytunnel. If you love gardening, then this offers you ways to create all the veg, flowers and what not that you can desire. If you don't love gardening, it would make a great home for a jacuzzi or steam room - so many options available.\r
\r
Finally that end of this, I call it garden but it's so much more than that, you come to the last building.....the summerhouse. Yeah it needs some TLC, but as the rest of the home is immaculate, this will give you something to do. Beyond the garden, farmers fields go on and on and on.....this is a fabulous little (large) haven of paradise.\r
\r
Back inside and up the stairs.\r
\r
The first bedroom, all of which are generous doubles, directly in front of us is the smallest room. A cast iron fireplace dates the room but the modern light grey carpet brings us back into the 21st century. A window offers far reaching views over your garden and the fields beyond.\r
\r
Stepping out of the bedroom a small corridor directly to the left, leads to the next smallest bedroom. When I say smallest, this is probably the main in your modern boxy houses. It offers ample space for a large bed and free standing accompanying furniture and again offers some fab views.\r
\r
Up a small set of stairs and on the left, we come to the second largest bedroom. This could be your main or not, just depends on where you want to be. A large window looks out over the side aspect of the home and again, you can have a massive bed in here, wardrobes, chests of drawers, bedside cabinets and still not feel cramped.\r
\r
The next bedroom again has all the space you need to fit everything that you'd find in a bedroom, but this one has another cast iron fireplace. There is a huge set of what looks like built in wardrobes, but please check if these are included in the sale first and a set of windows, one looking over the side and the other out over the front. The high ceiling throughout this home create an ever larger perception of space.\r
\r
The family bathroom is the final room that we come to one this floor. Again finished to a high standard, you have all of the usual suspects in here. A very stylish vanity sink unit with chrome mixer tap and storage below. There is a trendy panelled bath with a fixed rainforest shower head above it and also a hand held attachment. You have the obligatory and very useful toilet and to finish the room off, a matt heated towel rail to keep your towel toasty on those winter days! Oh, and a frosted window keeps it nice and bright, while helping to keep prying eyes out, although it's not that kind of area!\r
\r
The final part of this home is the attic. You could easily put a continuation of the staircase up into the attic, I believe it had or has* planning to do this and also add another bathroom. Once up in the attic, you have a large room that has been fully converted, with a couple of Velux windows to keep the natural light in. There is plenty of storage in the eves and space to do with as you please....games room, bedroom Five, hobby room......whatever tickles your fancy - this place has options. \r
\r
** please check with the owner on the status of planning to convert this room and also adding a bathroom.\r

\r
All in all if you want a home that will make you the envy of everyone, not only because of how fantastic it is inside but also because of the price that you'll be paying for it, compared to other homes in the street at far higher prices that offer so much less, then you must take a look at this.....\r
\r
Yes we know it's semi-detached but it's not like you're buying one of these new modern homes, you know the ones where you can hear your neighbour sneeze in the house next to you!! Yes, this is one of your old traditionals, it's got solid walls and has been well built with by a man wearing a cloth cap who smokes a woodbine, it's that type of home! You wouldn't know this was a semi.....it's as good as a detached house, if not better, much better.\r
