Vendor Comment: Having spent 30 years in this wonderful family home I have nothing but praise for its position in Redland (close to all the amenities of Whiteladies Road) and cherish very fond memories of the time spent here watching my children grow. The convenience of being 5-10 minutes’ walk from local primary schools, Redland (secondary) School, local shops, cafes, restaurants, open spaces such as Durdham Downs and Redland Park cannot be ignored. Additionally, Clifton village is a 5-minute drive, 25 on foot and the same applies to travelling to Bristol City Centre. A local train (10 mins walk) takes you to Temple Meads Railway station and loads of local buses covering all different areas are 5 minutes away.
\rChristmases spent with roaring open fires in the lounge and dining room, bonfire parties in the 45.7 meter fully enclosed garden, BBQ’s, wine with friends under the wooden pergola with the aroma from the wisteria in the evening warmth. Young children safe to roam, birthday parties, paddling pools, water slides, Nerf guns, football and camping under the stars. A garden which has catered for 26 years of a growing family where their imagination was ignited and set free. The view, well the view is something you never tire of, and I will miss terribly. It provides space and a sense of freedom. A cliche maybe, but it has always felt inspiring, it makes you want to get up in the morning and achieve. Sun rises, and sunsets fill the panorama with flaming reds and golds, the view reaching from Kelston Roundhill in Bath all the way across to Dundry. The beautiful lilac tree at the top of the drive when flowering, always attracts compliments, the colour, and the aroma so evocative. We have often watched people take sneaky little cuttings whilst they are stood in the street, something we always find amusing.
Car parking in Redland is never easy but the drive fits approximately five cars in addition to which there is a double garage with a workshop attached.
Whilst outside you occasionally hear the young children who attend the small school next door, at playtime. Listening to their enjoyment and carefree laughter is always heart-warming. They are completely hidden from sight by a high grey stone wall which ranges from approx. 3.6 – 6 meters high so your privacy is not affected.
This has been an incredible family home and has the space and scope to grow and develop in the future if required.
